Often people don't understand me. Sixty Fruits is a place where I feel safe and where I can be myself and learn to get along with others (Participant).

Vintage Trends 2025 - This is how to give your interior character.

Vintage is not a passing hype, it is a lasting love. In 2025, we see a number of striking trends that will instantly add warmth and character to your interiors.

1. Organic shapes
Round lines and soft angles are all the rage. Think oval dining tables, cabinets with round shapes and armchairs with flowing armrests. Our Rob Parry armchairs fit this perfectly - timeless design that works in any interior.

2. Warm wood tones
Light oak is slowly giving way to deeper tones such as walnut and teak. These colors instantly give a rich, luxurious look and combine beautifully with fabrics in earthy tones.

3. Mix old and new
The most beautiful interior tells a story. Let an authentic vintage piece of furniture shine by combining it with contemporary elements. Think of a Danish teak dresser with modern lighting above it, or a 1960s armchair next to a sleek coffee table. In this way, the piece of furniture remains the focal point, while combining it with new materials and colors makes it fresh and current.

At Sixty Fruits , we select furniture with a story. We get these directly from England and Denmark - and restore them in our own workshop.

Tip: Start small. Just one statement piece can change the whole mood of your interior. And don't forget: quality is durable. A good vintage piece of furniture will last for decades.

How

2. The art of restoring and maintaining vintage furniture

Every piece of furniture that comes into Sixty Fruits gets a second chance. Sometimes a piece comes battered from a barn or attic, but we always see the potential. In our workshop, craftsmen and participants work together to bring furniture back to life.

Step 1: Inspection and planning
We look at what the furniture needs: woodwork repair, new veneer, sanding the old varnish or replacing upholstery on an armchair.

Step 2: Craftsmanship in action
With traditional techniques and modern tools, we restore furniture in detail. This preserves the original soul, but allows the furniture to last for decades again.

Maintenance tip:
Want to keep your furniture beautiful at home?

  • Wood: occasionally rub with natural furniture oil.

  • Fabric: vacuum gently with a furniture nozzle and dab stains immediately.

  • Metal: polish with a dry cloth, do not use aggressive agents.

This way you extend the lifespan and keep your furniture looking radiant.

At Sixty Fruits , we believe that restoration is more than repair. It is preserving history and passing on quality.

What

3. Design with a heart - Working on people as well as furniture

Sixty Fruits is all about craftsmanship AND people. Our furniture is special, but the story behind the workshop is perhaps even more beautiful.

We are a social enterprise: people distanced from the labor market find a place to learn, work and grow with us. In the workshop they stand side by side with experienced furniture makers, learn new techniques and discover their own talent.

Some go on to permanent jobs, while others train with us as cabinet makers. We work together with the Graafschap College, so participants can even get their diploma while working in practice.

Every purchase at Sixty Fruits contributes directly to this work. When you buy an armchair, dresser or bathroom cabinet from us, you not only support sustainable craftsmanship, but also the personal growth of people making a fresh start.

The love for people and the belief that everyone is valuable is paramount at Sixty Fruits . This is reflected in every piece of furniture that leaves our workshop. Unique, full of character and with a story that goes beyond vintage design alone.
